viewing the source is a headache... I removed the none code and this is what ya get:

Code:
<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE> Them Earth Meteors </TITLE>
<SCRIPT></SCRIPT>
</HEAD>
<BODY>
<BR><BR><BR><BR>
<TABLE>
<TR>
<TD>
<SCRIPT>makeFrontPage();</SCRIPT>
</TD>
</TR>
</TABLE></BODY></HTML>

also a look at the js:
Code:
function makeFrontPage() {
   document.write("<OBJECT>");
   document.write("<PARAM> <PARAM> <PARAM> <EMBED></EMBED>");
   document.write("</OBJECT>");
}

and that leads to a direct link to the flash that perhaps someone can disect? lol

Looks fasinating but all that code and all is kind of over my head right now. May look later but wanted to add that 'them earth meteors' sounds awfully...anagramish. 'Thermometers heat' can be made of it in case that could be of any use to anyone (doubt it). Confused

It contains the following URLs:

WelcomeMicrosoft.php
Welcome.php
JoinUs.php
PuzzleSolved.php

It also contains the intriguing test:
if (PUZZLE_CONTEST_ACTIVE)

And it is testing submissions against a server-side script, so you won't find the username/password embedded in the Flash:

http://www.themearthmeteors.com/submitPass.php
http://www.themearthmeteors.com/submitUName.php

Nothing else jumps out at me.

Wikipedia wrote:
In the analysis of algorithms, the master theorem, which is a specific case of the Akra-Bazzi theorem, provides a cookbook solution in asymptotic terms for recurrence relations of types that occur in practice. It was popularized by the canonical algorithms textbook Introduction to Algorithms by Cormen, Leiserson, Rivest, and Stein, which introduces and proves it in sections 4.3 and 4.4, respectively. Nevertheless, not all recurrence relations can be solved with the use of the master theorem.

It's like that Twilight Zone episode where they were speaking English words but none of them made any sense! Shocked

Hmm - I actually took a course a couple of years ago which covered this Surprised It's not that complicated, really, but as I doubt it's going to be relevant I'm not about to spend time trying to explain it Wink

Rollover

Just a speculation:
Those circular barcode like thinks, that appear when you mousover the earth meteorits look like qr-codes to me.

Here in Germany, we've had some Shuffle Shuttle Mystery Rides, where you had to shoot a photo of those qr-codes with your (mobile's) camera, send it to a given number and then you got an invitation for one of those rides if you were lucky.

If those are really Quick Response Codes, what do we have to do with them? Where to send them?

The 2nd gyyph (kind of like a gray code based shaft encoder) reads, "BECAUSEICHOOSETO". Still working on the first one.

EDIT: Got it. The first glyph's binary works out to "WHYDOYOUPERSIST".

"Smith"? "Anderson"? "Neo"? "futile"?

Just throwing stuff out there.

How did you decipher them?

I was looking at http://clicmobile.com/blog/?cat=30 and shotCodes, but gave up after 30 mins of trying to clear up the image.

Here's how Rogi explained it to me. If you divide the graphic up like a 16 hour clock, but 8 rings deep, you read each time slot from center out. So 1 oclock would look like this:

Code:

                                 1
                               1
                             1
                           0
                         1
                       0
                     1
                   0

which is binary for "W". The 2 oclock position is binary for "H". Hope that helps.

ETA - wow my 1000th post

i'm not sure this proves the answer, but it's a visualization of how i THINK it was solved -- i used the Photoshop distortion filter for polar coordiates

Not sure if it means anything, but if you take the letters that cause the misspellings and anagram them, they spell "HEARSE."
